It could preclude instances of getting shocked if touching something energized a hotplate and a device already installed in the home the stove, range hood etc.. Adding a ground rod would help.

My husband’s family started camping every summer when he was little, and about ten years ago the tradition got re-started. It includes extended family and friends, and we’ve had as many as 40 people show up, including small children.
The site offers better than average facilities. Its biggest and unique distinction is that each pitch comes with access to an electrical hook up included in the price of the ticket. There is also a block of toilets and showers in the style of an old school French campsite. Plots are nearly all numbered and just of one standard pitch size. Nothing really, other than access to the back of the village. This is one of the oldest campsites, still with very French style outdoor sinks at the wash block.
